PhD in Comics (research-creation) at FoReLLIS, University of Poitiers (supervised by Denis Mellier), and artist, Sabine Teyssonneyre defended in 2024 her thesis Tout faire apparaître : magie, minimalisme et œuvres d’art dans la bande dessinée indépendante et expérimentale contemporaine. She has written on non-professional drawing in Webtoons (University Paul Valéry), the representation of speed in comics (Cahiers FoReLLIS), and immediate time in performance and contemporary comics (FCP Formules no. 22). She has recently participated in conferences such as Actualités et perspectives de la recherche en bande dessinée in Reims, Bande dessinée et Beaux-Arts: patrimoines croisés in Brussels, and the lecture series organized by Lagon revue at the Centre Pompidou for the exhibition Bande Dessinée à tous les étages (Chambre d’écho). She exhibits her comics and fanzines at venues including CREDAC, Frac Pays de la Loire, Sentiers Métropolitains d’Angoulême, and Formula Bula. She is co-founder of FutureOff, an independent micro-edition festival held alongside the FIBD, teaches comics, and is a member of the comics research network La Brèche.
