Jaqueline Berndt

Jaqueline Berndt is Professor of Japanese Language and Culture at Stockholm University, with a PhD in Aesthetics/Kunstwissenschaft from Humboldt University Berlin (1991). A leading scholar in manga and anime studies, she previously held positions at Kyoto Seika University (Professor in Manga/Comics Theory) and Yokohama National University. She coordinates the Comicscape East Asia project, investigating interrelations between Sinophone, Korean, and Japanese comics.
