Associate Professor

Andre Holzapfel is Associate Professor of Media Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, specializing in Sound and Music Computing. He holds two PhDs – one in Computer Science and one in Ethnomusicology – and his research spans computational approaches to beat and rhythm analysis and qualitative ethnomusicological methods. Before joining KTH, he was a fellow at the Austrian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence and a Marie Curie researcher on the RhythMus project.
