Professor of Digital Humanities
Anna Foka is Professor in Digital Humanities and Director of the Centre for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences at Uppsala University. Her research spans the history of the ancient world, digital methods for cultural heritage curation, and AI in cultural memory. She is the director of the interdisciplinary research programme AI Futures of Culture and Memory (2025-2030), funded by WASP-HS, and coordinator of DASH, Sweden’s National Graduate School in Digital Humanities.
