Celine Pieters is a senior postdoctoral researcher at the University of Vienna, Austria, currently working on the project “Rhetoric and Values in Fiction: An Art-Based Research”, funded by the FWF Richter PEEK program (Fund for Science Austria). She is also a scientific collaborator at the free University of Brussels, Belgium and member of the GRAL (Group of research in Rhetoric and Linguistic Argumentation). Previously, she worked on the topic of moral imagination in Tech, and did her PhD thesis in rhetoric at the department of robotics of the LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse, France. This work led to the publication of her first book The Words of Robotics, Bloomsbury Publishing, 2025. In collaboration with Celia Ducaju, she wrote the bande dessinée Interlude, published by les Éditions Dargaud in 2024.
